When it comes to buying a car, everyone would like a model which meets a whole host of requirements – without having to make compromises. Not for Mercedes-Benz: the designers have developed the new B-Class in line with a fresh and emotionally appealing design idiom and as a result have succeeded in combining sportiness with value. Despite its compact dimensions, the Sports Tourer is still able to provide young families in particular with the space they need.

And the new B-Class also demonstrates to impressive effect that young parents need not give up on driving pleasure – that's because it not only boasts a dynamic appearance, but also dynamic handling.

Driving pleasure is not diminished even when taking the consumption figures into account. In conjunction with the ECO start/stop function fitted as standard, the new petrol and diesel engines consume up to 21 percent less fuel than the predecessor while still offering enhanced performance. This also means lower CO2 emissions. This comprehensive sustainable approach is supported by new transmission variants, such as the 7G-DCT dual clutch transmission. It shifts gear without any interruption in the tractive power, and combines the convenience of an automatic with the efficiency and fun factor of a manual.
